3D printed component with very high temperature resistance and dimensional stability was overmolded by liquide silicone.
The component was used to test a geometry variation. The ability to produce the new geometry using an additive manufacturing process saved the time-consuming, expensive and time-intensive production of an injection mold. The printed component was integrated successfully directly in the serial production overmolding process.
