News & Innovations

10mm pilot valves now with KTW drinking water approval
Thanks to the KTW certification of our 10mm pilot valves, Kendrion Kuhnke Automation can now provide precise, high-performance microvalves for applications in the drinking water sector.

The quality requirements for materials and system components that come into contact with drinking water are considerable. Drinking water is one of the most controlled foods.
In this context, Kendrion Kuhnke Automation has certified the 10mm solenoid valves of the 63 series with EPDM sealing according to the KTW and Elastomer guideline for direct drinking water contact. Simultaneously the compliance with microbiological requirements, defined in DVGW worksheet W270, has been confirmed according to DVGW worksheet W270, which is absolutely necessary for materials that come into contact with drinking water.

„Time-to-market is an important criterion for the successful launch of new products in today's fast-paced world. With the drinking water approval, we support our customers significantly with a faster and more cost-effective approval for their overall product.“
Tobias Klapetke, Market Segment Manager Fluid Technology at Kendrion

With the flexible modular system, valves of the 63 series product family enable nominal diameters ranging from 0.4 to 1.2 mm and provide kv values up to 0.53 l/min. An improvement in energy efficiency is achieved with power consumption down to less than 1W. The 63 product family from Kendrion Kuhnke Automation thus also follows the trend of miniaturization.
In combination with the KUHNKE FluidBoard® or the AirBoard® manifold Technology, customized and cost-effective valve assemblies in the drinking water sector can be easily generated.

The safest solenoid lock for locking laboratory centrifuges
With a very high clamping force of at least 1,600 N and a shock resistance of up to 100 g, Kendrion Kuhnke Automation now offers a magnetic lock that has been written for the topic of safety and therefore ideally suited for locking laboratory centrifuges.

Kendrion Kuhnke Automation is expanding its broad-based locking portfolio with the compact yet powerful magnetic lock AL HS7762. It has been specially developed for extreme requirements in the field of shock and vibration resistance and is therefore ideally suited for use in the flap locking of laboratory centrifuges.

The technically sophisticated locking mechanism enables a stable static clamping force of at least 1,600 N under a shock load of 100 g. The safe locking and unlocking before and after a centrifuge process is realized by a technically optimized bistable solenoid, from the new magnetic series BI-16. Optionally available for the magnetic lock 24VDC and 12VDC as operating voltage. Integrated microswitches are responsible for detecting the locking and unlocking. Due to the compact size of 70x70x18 (WxLxT), it is not only suitable for centrifuges, but also for other applications.

As a manufacturer of high-tech locking systems, Kendrion Kuhnke Automation has a wealth of experience and develops individual solutions for customer applications. In order to meet the UL safety requirements, Kendrion Kuhnke Automation only uses UL approved materials for all magnetic locks.
